Luann M., a special partner to Charym

Meet Luann, longtime yoga student who partners with Charym, contributing to the mesmerizing beauty of our studio space.

Luann has been with us since the beginning. Read on to learn about her special work she has done with Charym owner (and internationally sought after designer), Alexandra Champalimaud.

“I’ve known Alexandra for many years! I have owned and operated a custom workroom for designers for more than 40 years. When Alexandra started her vision and plans for Charym and at that time the Charym Spa which was in the front of the main building, she called me. We consulted about the design and construction of the hardware and curtains that hang outside the yoga studio entrance, the many cushions and bolsters along the benches inside and the white wood blinds on the windows. I also made beautiful curtains and cushions for the Charym Spa which have since been repurposed for Alexandra’s office. I take care of cleaning and maintaining the curtains and cushions to this day.

My life outside of Charym is busy with my work in my studio in the antique barn on my property, as well as numerous projects. I love gardening and making herbal remedies, canning and cooking. Other interests are traveling, art, hiking and renovating my 1810 farmhouse. My 3 grown children, partners, grandchildren and friends are the center of my world and a great source of joy.”

Luann continues to repair and refresh the Charym studio interiors. She is an amazing part of our team and the Charym community! You will see her around the studio as she is an active participant in many of our yoga classes.
