Yoga is…
Yoga is a global imperative.
Taking in the Yoga Sutras, studying the Yamas and Niyamas, arriving at asana with a sense of intention. Holding space for your true identity to birth and transform from the fertile ground of what once was.
Yoga is a process. Yoga gives us the chance to set aside time just for us. To train our minds to find not only the edges of our discomforts but the center of our contented devotion.
Yoga is a remedy for aches, joint inflammation, mental fluctuations, mood, sleep disruptions, menstrual issues and more.
Yoga is complementary to healing from joint replacement surgery, injuries and essential in addressing scoliosis and musculoskeletal conditions.
Yoga reminds us that our bodies have capabilities now that we may appreciate.
In my work as a yoga educator and somatic coach, the individuals who have a weekly yoga practice or who have practiced a significant amount during their lives have far more access to the wisdom of their bodies.
And if you don’t have a yoga practice now, we live in an era of great asana teachers. Find yours!
