I have had an interest in yoga and pilates for years. The gentle movement of yoga, the attention to breath and space, the self awareness and sense of calm it brings are vital to physical and mental wellbeing.
I have learned that your journey through life affects your yoga practice. As a young person I participated in sports, frequented the gym, jogged, biked, you name it. Repetitive use injuries and chronic pain plagued me for years. Now my practice looks much different than it did in my 20s.
I enjoy gentle yoga and stretching, walking and hiking and a slower paced lifestyle then I used to. It took some time for me to mentally accept that.
Wellness does not equal athleticism. Wholeness is a process. Our community within the studio is on a journey together. We encourage each other to commit to our practice, no matter where you are on your path.
That’s why I love Charym so much. We are a space that welcomes anyone, at any age, at any level. Our Charym teachers will meet you where you’re at.
