Erin Flockhart

Erin's journey into yoga began as a way to balance her athletic lifestyle with her demanding work schedule. With a strong foundation in fitness and running, she found that yoga not only improved her physical strength but also provided the mental resilience necessary to navigate life’s challenges.

Now a 500-hour certified Vinyasa yoga instructor through Sanctuary Power Yoga, Erin is further enhancing her practice and training by pursuing a Therapeutic Specialist Certification with Tiffany Cruikshank at Yoga Medicine. Her yoga practice is adorned by specialized training in various areas, including yoga for athletes, lymphatics, stand-up paddleboard yoga, yoga for mental health, yin yoga, Chinese medicine, and myofascial release.

In her classes, Erin blends the traditional structure of Vinyasa with a dynamic flow that remains accessible to all. Her classes emphasize endurance, core strength, tension release, and mobility, while integrating breathing and challenging movements. This balance mirrors her philosophy of approaching life's challenges with resilience, both on and off the mat.

Outside of yoga, Erin has dedicated 22 years to a career in law enforcement, where she teaches stress management using techniques from her Yoga for First Responders (YFFR) certification. Erin’s commitment to holistic health is further illustrated by her Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification. When she's off the mat, Erin enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking with her dogs, and exploring various forms of movement. Through her multifaceted approach, Erin is passionate about helping others cultivate wellness in all aspects of their lives.
